Viola L. Nowicki

Viola Leona Nowicki, age 86, of Alpena passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 29, 2017.
On January 1, 1931, she was born to the late Jacob and Bridget (Strezelecki) Kamyszek in Posen, Michigan. She married Gereon Nowicki on December 30, 1950, in Detroit, MI at St. Cyril Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2015. Viola was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
She is survived by her 5 children: Audrey (Roger) Price of Saginaw, MI; Kevin (Pam) Nowicki, Alvin (Jewel) Nowicki, Dennis (Lori) Nowicki, and Ted (Dawn) Nowicki all of Alpena, MI. Her 17 grandchildren and 25great-grandchildren. A brother John Kamyszek of Romulus, MI and a sister Marge Nowak of Posen, MI, along with several nieces and nephews.
Viola was preceded in death by 4 brothers Alfred, Elmer, James, and Mertz Kamyszek and her sister Betty Hoppe.
Arrangements are being handled through the Karpus-Hunter Funeral home. Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
