Victor "Bucky" Mills Jr., age 63, of Alpena, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at the V.A. Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
On January 9, 1956, Victor was born to Victor and Margaret (Minton) Mills Sr. in Detroit, Michigan. Victor served in the United States Army from 1982- 1988; after returning home he worked for Oscoda Wurtsmith Air Base, then later the Wilburt Vault Company and Ajax Construction. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Victor enjoyed spending time with his family, walleye fishing and music. He will be remembered for his hard work and dedication to the task at hand.
He is survived by his former wife of 20 years Maria "Mary" Mills and their four children: Staci (Mills) Smith; Marty (Allison) Mills; and Michael (Chelsea Fournier) Mills all of Alpena, MI; Aaron Mills of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren: Kaleb, Lauren, and Madison Smith; Mason, Marley, and Lola Mills; one sister Melinda Mills of Ossineke, MI; his mother Margaret (Minton) Arpin of Alpena, MI and several nieces and nephews.
Victor was preceded by his father Victor Mills Sr., step-father Thomas Arpin and two brothers: Martin "Marty" Mills and Thomas A. Arpin.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish from 11 am until 1 pm; with Full Military Honors accorded by the V.F.W. Post 2496 beginning at 12 pm; followed by the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 1 pm with Fr. Joe Muszkiewicz officiating, at St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Veterans Hospital.
