Thomas E. Kwiatkowski
Thomas E. Kwiatkowski, 91, of Alpena, Michigan passed away August 2, 2021 at Touch of Country Adult Care Home. Thomas was born in Alpena to John and Mary (Adusky) Kwiatkowski on Oct. 17, 1929. He married Carol Hallowisky on September 16, 1950 at St. Mary's Church in Alpena. They had enjoyed fifty years of marriage together when Carol preceded him in death on December 28, 2000. Thomas was employed as a boiler operator for National Gypsum for thirty three years. He then was employed by Lexington Furniture in North Carolina, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree, and both local and national chapters of AARP. Thomas served in the Army National Guard for eight years. He loved to golf and continued to beat much younger golfers until the age of 89. He always looked forward to the family Father/Son golf outings.
Thomas is survived by his four children: Steve Kwiatkowski of Alpena, Bernard John "BJ" Kwiatkowski of Alpena, Pam (Bill) Gohlke of Alpena and Beth Kwiatkowski of North Carolina. He is also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; two brothers; William Kwiatkowski and Arthur Kwiatkowski, and three sisters; Agnes Frantz, Delores Frantz and Virginia Thompson.
Thomas has been taken to Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home and will be cremated per his wishes. Condolences may be made to the family at www.karpushuntercares.com
