Stephen Wright, 59, of Spruce township passed away due to natural causes in the early hours of Wednesday, January 31st, 2024. A veteran, medical professional, father, brother, and friend to many. Steve was fun, loving, and an outrageous individual who created his own world of perfection. He enjoyed things many people of northern Michigan share, hunting, fishing, self-sufficiency, and god's gospel.
A Grand Blanc native, Steve spent his adolescence in Grand Blanc working multiple jobs before deciding to take on the task of defending our country at the age of 19.
Deployed to Germany for 3 years, Stephen spread influence across the globe through smile, laughter, joy and camaraderie.
Succeeding military obligations, Steve pursued his Occupational Respiratory Therapy License on behalf of the military and state of Michigan, graduating from Mott Community College. He continued his career at Saginaw Veterans Hospital for 8 years before pursuing his own business endeavors and peace, which led him to the slow-paced living of Spruce where he spent his last moments.
Preceded in death by his parents Dolores, Charlie, Stepfather R.G Wright & brother Jefferey. He is survived by his loving son Mitchell, sisters Cathy & Gina & his many nieces & nephews.
A graveside service will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. with military honors accorded the United States Army. Karpus Hunter & Ross Funeral Home had the honor of assisting with final arrangements. Online condolences may be registered at www.karpushuntercares.com
