Rosalyn Ann Suszek passed away on September 21, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center, leaving a legacy of kindness, love, and dedication. Born on October 17, 1943, in Alpena, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of the late Stanley and Mildred Zamenski.

Rosalyn graduated from Catholic Central High School in Alpena, where she developed her passion for caring for others. She dedicated many years of her life as a dietary aide at Alpena General Hospital, embodying the spirit of compassion and service that she carried throughout her life.

On July 29, 1967, she married Robert Suszek. Together, they built a family filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Rosalyn was not only a devoted wife but also a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her nurturing spirit knew no bounds, and those who were fortunate enough to know her were touched by her warmth.

She is survived by her children, Russell Suszek, Ruth Ann (Patrick) Splitt, Leslie (Jamila) Suszek, and Brian (Tracy) Suszek. The family she so dearly loved continues to thrive, carrying forward her legacy of love. Rosalyn was immensely proud of her 10 grandchildren: Justin Suszek, Nichole Teall, Rebecca Blaut, Jeremy Splitt, Nicole Rivard, Randi Jo Lee, Jennifer Ribble, Katie Garza, Allie Suszek, and Riley Suszek, who were the joy of her life. She was likewise blessed with the gift of 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, who added vibrant colors to her life.

Her family circle also included her sister, Lynda (John) Tolin, and several nieces and nephews who looked up to her as a gentle guiding light.

Rosalyn had a passion for simple pleasures. She loved to watch birds, gathering tranquility from their free-spirited flight. Conversations on the phone brought her immense joy; each call was a reminder of the bonds she nurtured with friends and loved ones. But above all, her heart belonged to her family. Every moment spent together was a treasured memory, reflecting the love that wove them together.

Rosalyn will be profoundly missed, not only by her immediate family but by all whose lives she touched. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert, her daughter, Jacqueline Vatter, and her siblings Laurienne Marzean and Tom Zamenski, her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. Rosalyn's kind, caring, and loving spirit will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of gratitude and generosity will continue to inspire her family for generations to come. A.E. Ross Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
