Roderick Allen Fireck, a man whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, passed away on May 29, 2025, in Blufton, South Carolina, at the age of 73. Born on December 9, 1951, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Roderick embodied the values of family and community throughout his life, leaving behind a legacy of love and fond memories.

Roderick dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving his country as a proud member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His commitment to duty exemplified the strength of character that defined him. It was this resilience and unwavering dedication that many came to admire in him, highlighting his unique ability to meet challenges with grace and determination.

For 60 years, Roderick called Goetzville home before relocating to Georgia to be closer to his youngest son and grandsons. His heart was deeply rooted in the community, and he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid Detroit Tigers fan, he cheered passionately for his team, infusing each game day with enthusiasm and excitement. Roderick also had a keen interest in Antique Vintage Collectibles, relishing the thrill of discovering hidden treasures. He cherished moments spent at auctions with his son, eagerly sharing laughter and creating lasting memories.

Roderick leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold his memory close. He is survived by his sons, Chad (Amy) Fireck of Guyton, GA, and Craig Fireck of Pickford. His grandsons, Ayden and Kamdyn Fireck, will carry his spirit forward in their lives, embodying the love and lessons he imparted. Additionally, Roderick is survived by his sister, Reyne (Dave) Honkavara of Goetzville, along with his nieces and many cousins who cherished their time with him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Theodore and Helena (Brenzle) Fireck, and his brother, James Fireck, both of whom he missed dearly throughout his life. The love they shared continues to resonate within Roderick's family, a testament to the bonds that endure even beyond this life.

As family and friends gather to honor Roderick, they will remember him not only for his steadfastness and service but for the gentle warmth he brought into their lives. Visitation will be held on June 3, 2025, from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Parish in Goetzville, MI, followed by a Mass at 10:00 AM. The interment will take place immediately following, where Roderick will be laid to rest with the dignity he so richly deserves.

Roderick Allen Fireck's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed. May his memory forever serve as a reminder of kindness, devotion, and the importance of family.
