Margaret lived a long and fulfilling life passing away on April 22, 2026, at Precious Days care home at the age of 92 to join her husband, Clarence.
She was born on July 30, 1933, to Leo and Celia (Szczerowski) Wisniewski in Alpena, MI.
Margaret graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1952. She went on to work after graduation in Detroit as a typist returning a short time later to work at the Post Office in Posen before meeting Clarence Dziesinski at a dance in Posen, Mi.
They dated a short time before Clarence proposed to her. They were married on July 31, 1954, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Posen just after her 21st birthday and she became a homemaker. She eventually worked on her sister’s potato farm, The Wikaryasz Sandy Acres, for many years picking stones, grating potatoes, and driving tractor.
Clarence and Margaret enjoyed doing things together along with friends. They loved to dance and went to any Polka dance they could find. They were married for 42 years before Clarence passed away at the young age of 69 leaving Margaret heartbroken.
Her greatest pleasures were being around children so, after her children were grown, she babysat her grandchildren. Margaret became granny to many Friends’ children as she babysat them so their parents could work as she continued to want to be with children. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren playing cards and games, having sleepovers, camping, and baking.
She was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Church/All Saints Parish and the Rosary Society.
Margaret is survived by her children, Sharon (Gary) Kapalla, and Gregory (Lisa) Dziesinski, grandchildren, Jeremy (Heavenly) Kapalla, Jessica (Mark) Levitt, Ryan (Natalie) Kapalla, Heather (Michael) Fradette, Samantha (Derek) Badder, Stefanie Dziesinski, and Matthew Dziesinski, great grandchildren, Cole, Cooper, and Beau Kapalla, Katherine and Charlee Levitt, Harper Woolman, Sutton, Oakley and Charlotte Badder. Along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister and brother-in-law, MaryAnn and Robert Wikaryasz, and brother and sister-in-law Harry and Gladys Wisniewski.
Family will receive friends for Visitation at A.E. Ross Funeral Home on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 2pm until 7pm with prayer of the rosary at 5:30pm and funeral service starting at 6pm with Fr. Emannuel Finbarr as celebrant. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery on Monday at 1:30pm.
The family would like to thank Precious Days AFC and McLaren Hospice staff for their care over the last few years.
