Kenneth Joseph Dubie, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and devoted man, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, in Herron, Michigan. Born on April 11, 1951, in Alpena, Michigan, Kenneth’s life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and genuine kindness—qualities that touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Kenneth was born to the late William and Leah (Prevo) Dubie, whose legacy lived on through his enduring spirit and values. Throughout his life, Kenneth poured his energy into both his career and his passions. He worked many years as a supervisor in the asphalt business, a role where his leadership and commitment stood strong. Equally proud of his roots, Kenneth farmed for a significant portion of his life, embodying the steadfast perseverance and connection to the land that defined his character.
Outside of his commitments, Kenneth found joy in the simple yet profound pleasures that enriched his days. His love for gardening blossomed alongside his passion for antique tractors, auctions, hunting, and the timeless rhythms of farming. These interests not only gave him contentment but also created a bond with those fortunate enough to share in these moments.
Kenneth was a kind man, one whose warmth and generosity will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind a lasting legacy through his loving family: his sons Kenneth Jr. with Melissa Krueger, Curt with Jamie, Kyle with Kelli, and Kraig with Carolyn. His grandchildren—Eryn (Cain) Makowski, Trevor, Megan, Kaylee, Kendall, Payton, Lillian, Alyssa (Hunter), Jacob (Samantha), and Kayla (Austin)—carry forward the light and love he instilled in them. The family is further blessed by numerous great-grandchildren who bring joy and continuity to his memory.
Kenneth’s siblings—Kirk (Frankie), Karen (Jozef) Drozdowski, and Michael (Linda)—along with several nieces and nephews, also reflect the deep family bonds and rich history that defined his life.
As we remember Kenneth Joseph Dubie, we honor a man who lived fully with a heart devoted to family, nature, and the land he cherished. His spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him, resting now in the peace he so richly deserves. Kenneth’s absence leaves a profound void but also a tapestry of memories, love, and the enduring influence of a life well-lived. Interment and graveside service will take place on Thursday June 18th, 2026 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery at 3:30pm.
A.E. Ross Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.
