James "Jim" A. Reilly

James A. "Jim" Reilly,73, passed away July 12, 2021, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Alpena.

James was born in Sault St. Marie on August 16, 1947, to the late Allen and Florence (Cook) Reilly. He sailed on the Great Lakes for 40 years, sailing for Huron Portland Cement, American Steamship and retired from the ship Buffalo. He loved cooking and enjoyed spending his time in the great-out doors, at the Casino, and watching Nascar.

He is survived by three daughters: Sherri Fogelsonger of Baroda, MI; Brenda (Jim) Bedient of Presque Isle, MI; and Debra (Scott) Strunk of Benton Harbor, MI; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews, along with his lifelong -good friend Mary Stosick.

He was preceded in death by his brother: Paul Reilly, sister: Judi Ambosio, and step-father: Leo Charbonneau.

Family and friends will gather for memorial visitation on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 12:00pm until the Memorial Service begins at 1:00pm with Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home.

Inurnment: Holy Cross Cemetery
