Geraldine 'Gerry' Scheske

Geraldine "Gerry" Scheske, age 80, of Alpena, Michigan passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, under the loving care of her son James.

            Gerry was born on August 12, 1940, in Manistique, Michigan to the late Joseph and Harriette (Heltman) Gedeon. She worked as a cook on the Steel Ships, retiring in 2006. Gerry loved life, adventure, the great outdoors and above all; her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

            She is survived by the three children: James " Jim" Alexander, Susan Schellie, and Jeremy (Janie) Scheske all of Alpena, Michigan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jeffrey (Marion) Gedeon of Alpena, MI; John Gedeon of Hubbard Lake, MI; along with several nieces and nephews.

            Gerry was preceded in death by her son Joseph Alexander, granddaughter: Sara Alexander, one sister: Shirley Hough and a daughter-in-law: Maria Person-Alexander.

            Per her wishes she has been taken from the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home for cremation. There are no services scheduled at this time.
