Dennis Richard Czolgosz

Dennis R. Czolgosz, age 72, of Alpena, passed away peacefully following a brief illness on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Alpena Regional Medical Center.
Dennis was born on May 31, 1943 to the late John and Irene (Konwinski) Czolgosz in Alpena. Dennis was a lifelong resident of Alpena with the exception of the two years he served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the 25th Infantry Division and was a Vietnam War Veteran. Dennis worked for 14 years as a line inspector for Abitibi Price. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church. Dennis enjoyed his long walks and meeting people.
Dennis is survived by a cousins: Kenneth (Mary) Jarmuzewski of Alpena, MI; Gary (Sandra) Jarmuzewski of Alpena, MI; Donna (Ralph) Vanderzanden of Forest Grove, OR; and several other cousins.
He was preceded in death by his cousins: Richard J. Konwinski and Carol Bobola, his uncles Richard D. Konwinski, Raymond Czolgosz, and his aunt Gladys C. Hubbs.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 4pm until 8pm with Full Military Honors accorded by the V.F.W. Post 2496 at 7pm. Visistation will continue on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church from 10am until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11am with Rev. Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating .
Internment : Holy Cross Cemetery
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to All Saints School, Huron Humane Society, or charity of friends choice.
